The annual Machynlleth Festival provides a week-long feast of the finest classical music, with talks, interviews and masterclasses, as well as a jazz night. The wonderful opening Cymanfa Ganu is an opportunity to sing or hear Welsh hymns ringing round a concert hall that has one of the finest acoustics in Britain and Europe. Y Tabernacl, Machynlleth; last week in August.
