Community engagement

At the start of 2022, we issued a call for Expressions of Interest in working with the Tyfu Dyfi team.  This led to an extensive network of contacts and site works under the following categories, including Community Supported Agriculture (CSA), click on a button for information on results.

Comprising numerous interviews and meetings with key actors, an analysis of the Dyfi Biosphere local food system was conducted in the first half of the project - the summary report can be downloaded here

To investigate the applicability of the Local Food Ecosystem concept in the Biosphere area, we commissioned the consultant Duncan Catchpole to run a series of meetings and a workshop (29 attendees) over 2 days in July 2022. As a first step, this led to Aber Food Coop moving online and reopening as Bwyd Dyfi Hub.

Shops, restaurants and hospitality outlets have been consulted and encouraged to take up the Blas Dyfi Taste brand.
